PatientEase™ PQS (Patient Queuing System)

QueueView Module
|
The QueueView Module is a general viewer used by staff to view, process
and route patients. The module can be run in several different modes
allowing different user types. As with the Master Station Module
QueueView can be configured to show color codes based on how long a
patient has been waiting. Typically this module is used by staff,
registrars or technicians performing the task the queue is tracking.
|
|
For
example during 'Outpatient Registration' the registrar would use this
module to view the waiting patients list and to handle the 'in-process'
patients being sent to them from the master station. Upon completion
of the task the system can be configured to optionally allow users to
route the patient to another queue or department within PatientEase or
mark them as 'Done' signifying the patient is leaving the scope of
PatientEase.
Queue
level comment codes and registrar or technician ID are additional ways for
you to track patient activity and monitor staff through put.
Depending on your PatientEase configuration the user can then
optionally route the patient to the next queue or department by simply
clicking a button. This will 'complete' the patient within the
existing queue and start them in the next. When the patient
checks-in at the next department the process will start over.
If the patient has completed their stay or is leaving the scope of
PatientEase users simple 'Done' the patient which will 'Complete' the
patient with in the queue without routing them to another.
There are many options and configurations that can be handled by the
Queueview Module. Though this odule is easy to use and easy to
train for, the statistics gathered by QueueView are key to proper
management of patient flow, staffing, general reporting and ultimately
improving customer service.
