cards can be designed specifically to match your requirements. Cards
may be printed in black and white or color. Use of barcodes and/or
magnetic strips are also available. Preprinted card stock can
provide high quality look with a lower cost. PatientEase has
designed the card system to use standard windows based card
printers. Custom calibration and card templates may be needed to use
some printers.
 The
cost effective Evolis Dualys card printer is currently being used as a
standard card printer for PatientEase. The Dualys allows for duplex
color and/or black/white printing and can handle printing bar codes and
magnetic inks. The printer is rated for 110 cards per hour and has a
100 card stock feeder. This quick and versatile printer is ideal for
most customers wanting the ability to produce there own cards.
Printers
may be placed anywhere in your facility where PatientEase can be mapped to
used them. Printing is performed by the Loyalty Card Service
which is typically located on one of your servers. This increases
the speed that registrars or others can request a new card to be
printed. The client computer simply requests a card to be printed
and is then free to finish the registration process. You may chose to
have multiple card layouts, colors or types. This can be used to
distinguish special guest or hospital donors. Special discounts at
your gift shop, cafeteria or thrift shop are additional incentives to
encourage your patients to carry there health cards.
